How much is important a design bathroom when you renovate home? Emanuele Patrini, a man of a thousand talents and many passions, talks about it: manager for life, and cooking and lifestyle lover in this free time. In this way Emanuele tells about his specialities but also his home, in his blog

For EVER Life Design he decided to tell us about the renovation project of his apartment and how the definition of a design bathroom can really influence from the aesthetic point of view on the renovation. Here is his story:
“Two years ago we bought a house in Milan in a 1950s building typical of the Milanese middle-class of the time.
Entering the house we fell in love with the geometry of the apartment and some architectural elements such as the mosaic facade. Like all the houses of that period that have not been subject to maintenance over the years, the first problem we found was precisely that the apartment seemed suspended in an era very distant: since 1955, in fact, it had no modernization or renovations.
Since we fell in love with it, the watchword was therefore ‘ total renovation’ in the name of recovery and design. During the renovation project phases with the architect we considered many solutions and then we opted for the one that seemed to us the most suited to our needs. One of these was that in the house we wanted two bathrooms: a design one, with clean and linear shapes, and another one dedicated to guests, with a laundry near it, that was an add value and reflected our aesthetic taste. We said no to a tiled design bathroom and we decided to apply a light blue-grey mat resin to the walls that matched perfectly with the dark grey stoneware floor with a size of 40x80 cm.
The element that characterized the renovation of this room was also a 85x85 cm design shower tray, flush with the floor. No bathtub for our home: even in the suite bathroom of the bedroom we wanted a very large shower 180x100 cm.
All the choices of the home renovation have taken into account both our needs but also our aesthetic taste. For sure the bathroom, indeed, the bathrooms, have been objects of a careful evaluation with the clear desire from the very beginning to create two design bathroom.
How did we do it?
First of all, opting for design sanitary wares, with simple but clear lines, able to give to the room a defined character in line with our personality.
In addition to this, I can tell you also that on the sill of the large window of one of the bathrooms we grow our orchids: flowers and plants that, for their elegance , match perfectly with the style of our design bathrooms.
The element that gives a touch of style to sanitary wares is the bathroom washbasin Bounce by EVER Life Design: a very special piece because it is made of polyurethane, a soft material, very resistant and that flexes when you touch it. A design element that always amazes our guests. We opted for the version countertop on a beechwood top.
The bathroom can be defined a design bathroom when also other elements follow this concept, such as a large mirror, or a special towel holder or an unconventional toilet brush holder. All the elements have been chosen among the options offered by EVER Life Design. The very simple round mirror in its version with the maximum diameter is Ring which gives a lot of light to the room.

We opted for the natural beechwood also for the towel holder with ring shape Gambol.
Finally, in a design bathroom, it was important to choose a very particular design accessory: between the wc and the bidet we put the Street the toilet brush holder with a base made of concrete and the brush with a brass white handle.”
